Life since getting engaged to my best friend life has been crazy busy!
We both have realized how expensive weddings are and how easily the cost can add up. However, we have found a beautiful venue :) We are getting married next October at Densmore Farms in Cleveland, GA. It's BEAUTIFUL! The barn is amazing and totally DIY, the areas surrounding it is beautiful with trails... we love it! I have been on the search for the perfect photographer.
If there is any one thing that I want to spend money on, it's a good photographer. After it's all said and done, that is the only real evidence that we will have of that day (besides us and our wedding rings)! I found a fantastic cinematographer and someone to do makeup AND my dress. Oh, I wish I could describe it, but my husband to be will read and will know and we can't have that. :)
I've been over the moon about being engaged. It hits me at times more than others. We both don't really feel different, but when Nathan says "we are getting married!" it makes me realize how awesome my life is going to be when we tie the knot :) We spent time with my future in-laws the other night, and today, and his dad said "you're going to be our daughter", and it super hit me. I am going to be the first daughter they'll ever have! It's crazy to think about. You adopt a whole other family into your own. I feel so loved :) Nathan's mom gave me pearls that his dad had given her on a date, and that means so much. I can't wait to wear them on my wedding day!
I can't wait!
Also, God answered my prayers and gave me a job. It's part time working for the school, but it should work wonderfully when I start nursing school and everything I make is going towards our wedding!!! Ahhh!!! I'm seriously going to set up a savings account and put everything into it.
AND we go to New York in 6 days! So exciting! This will be the best! Swimming and pizza and bagels and hand holding with my love and celebrating our engagement with my family and walking to the bay and and and :) I can't wait to relax and kiss my fiance and not worry about a thing in the world. I am so thankful!
I cried reading old blog posts about getting to go out on a date for the first time with him. Who would have thought that a year and a half from when we first met he would be my fiance. That I would spend the rest of my life with him! So strange and wonderful! God seriously works in mysterious ways. I love Nathan so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!
Also my hair is growing out nicely! By next October it should be long enough to do something with!
